54th Birthday Celebration
On the afternoon of Wednesday, September 6th, a celebration unfolded as we at the Sebastopol Senior Citizens Club commemorated our 54th birthday.
In the company of good friends and with great tunes performed by ‘The Harmonies,’ we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea prepared by our resident chef, Geoff.
As this is likely to be the last birthday we celebrate in our much-loved hall, we were pleased to be joined by guests from nearby senior citizens’ clubs, including Buninyong, Wendouree, North Ballarat, City, and Brown Hill, who all helped us to mark this momentous day.
The honour of cutting the celebratory cake was bestowed upon Seena Hill, our oldest member.
President Darryl made a speech where he expressed gratitude and
- commended the diligent committee members for decorating the venue
- acknowledged Geoff and the ladies in the kitchen for preparing the food
- applauded the musical talents of ‘The Harmonies”
- extended warm thanks to our club members and guests for making this birthday celebration a meaningful event
