Melbourne Cup at Sebas Seniors

The first day of November AND Melbourne Cup day – what a combination.
17 of our members met at the clubrooms today to enjoy the Melbourne Cup.
We dressed in our finery, and following a delicious Chinese take-away lunch, the afternoon’s activities included:
- Horse racing – our own version of ‘the race that stops a nation’
- Ten Pin Bowling – where we discovered the difficulty of knocking down skittles with a lopsided ball
- Quoits – our aim with the quoits didn’t quite hit the mark for most of us.
- Sweeps – the mandatory Melbourne Cup Sweep with loud cheering for ‘our horse’ to come home.
The laughter and chatter said it all – it was a great day.
